Pets Are Man's Best Friend
Dogs are believed to be descendants of wild wolves. They were the very first wild animal to be tamed. Ancient guy probably brought house cub wolves to raise as pets. The animal wolves were likewise beneficial in driving away bears and other wild animals. One of the earliest known breed of pet dogs is the Salukis, which were reproduced by Egyptians countless years back as searching pet dogs. Greyhounds and Dalmatians are also among the earliest types documented.
Pets helped to pull loads, herd cattle and sheep, and protect their master and the master's home. The Ancient Greeks developed small lap canines, which were implied to be held in a lady's lap to help keep her stomach warm. In more current years, pets have been trained as seeing eye pets for the blind.
Today numerous pets, such as the Poodle or Chihuahua, no longer resemble the wolf. Other pets, such as the Siberian Husky and the German Shepherd still show a strong resemblance to the wolf. The highest pet dogs are Great Danes and the Irish Wolfhound.
In the United States, one out of 3 families owns one or more canines. Many canines live anywhere from 8 to fifteen years. When pets are one year old, they are as physically mature as a 15 year old human.
